I wanna take you back to 2015-2016, a time when the natural hair movement was at its peak in the black community.
My daughters were experiencing skin issues with eczema flare-ups at that time. Their young ages (7 and 9 & my son, 11) made me think about other people scrutinizing their outer appearance—especially their hair and skin.
Concerned, I took them to a dermatologist, who prescribed steroid cream.
Not good news in my opinion! So my maternal instincts kicked in. I dove into researching the effects of steroid creams on growing bodies, particularly on black skin. The potential changes and early puberty concerns weighed heavily on my mind.
As I watched videos and did my research on going natural, I knew I wanted the best for these kids. That's when the idea of creating our own natural remedy came to mind.
